Albert John Sibilla Jr.

Sibilla, Albert J. Jr., died Tuesday, June 9, 2015 Age 82 at St. Mary’s Mercy Hospital surrounded by his family. He leaves behind his wife Barbara J. (Schulte) of 11 years along with his children, Albert J. lll (Deborah), Richard (Christine), Julie (Warren) Terrace, Kevin (Angie Langer), Sharon, and James (Elisa) and step father of Steve (Susie Friedman) Schulte, Mark (Lillianna Pikul) Schulte, Doug Schulte, and Matt (Donna) Schulte. He is predeceased by his sister Barbara La Forge and his sister Betty Nelson. He is survived by 19 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. Albert was born and raised in Port Huron, MI, where he met and married his high school sweetheart Barbara A. (Axford – Born 4/27/1933 – Died 2/20/1999). They were married for 48 years and raised their six children in Garden City, MI. Starting Skyline concrete floors in 1970, Al helped to create a successful and honest business that operated over 25 years. Retiring in 1994 to Fairfield Glade, TN, he was an avid golfer, getting a hole in one in 2008. Traveled with his sons to Scotland to play the real courses, he said. He enjoyed his poker games and trips to casinos with friends and family just for fun and time well spent. Al loved to sail since he was a young boy on Lake Huron and continued to do so with his buddies off the coast of Florida for several years into his late seventies. In 2004, he married Barbara J. (Schulte) blending together two families to create one large loving unit who have enjoyed many good and happy times together traveling to Italy, Mexico and cruises to the Caribbean. Al loved a life of faith, was generous, loving, caring, and passionate in all of his endeavors; a true people person, loved by any who he met, and a person who made people his friends for life. He strongly believed and always said “God will always take care of you, if you talk to him, He has always taken care of me”. Al will be dearly missed by many for a million reasons. His life will be celebrated with a Visitation Thursday, June 11, 2015 2-9 PM at Vermeulen-Sajewski Funeral Home, 46401 W. Ann Arbor Rd., (Btwn Sheldon & Beck) Plymouth. Rosary 7 PM. He will lie In state Friday, June 12, 2015 10 AM until the 10:30 AM Funeral Mass at St. Kenneth Catholic Church, 14951 N. Haggerty Rd., Plymouth. A luncheon will follow.
