Dawn Domanski Garrison August 18, 1968 – January 23, 2025 Dawn Domanski Garrison, 56, of Canton, Michigan, passed away on January 23, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on August 18, 1968, Dawn grew up in Rochester Hills, Michigan, and graduated from Rochester High School. She went on to attend Oakland University, where she earned a degree in Finance. In 1993, she married the love of her life, Brett Garrison, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and family. They were blessed with three wonderful children: Brandon, Blake, and Lauren, who were her pride and joy. Dawn was a woman of boundless energy and unwavering generosity. She dedicated countless hours volunteering as a classroom aide, loved taking photos at sporting events, always eager to lend a hand wherever it was needed. She had a passion for helping children and never hesitated to support anyone in need. An adventurer at heart, Dawn loved traveling, exploring new places, and seeking out the thrill of amusement parks. She cherished time spent with family and friends, whether enjoying a quiet evening or creating lifelong memories on her adventures. Dawn also had a deep appreciation for music and sports, especially cheering for Michigan State University. Known for her wisdom and positive outlook, Dawn inspired those around her with her favorite sayings, such as, “Don’t take no for an answer,” “Do your best and accept the rest,” and her playful reminder to “Don’t be a sheep.” Her words were a testament to the way she lived her life—with confidence, determination, and individuality. Dawn is survived by her loving husband, Brett, and their children, Brandon, Blake, and Lauren; her loving parents Ken and Carol Domanski; her sister, Wendy (Kyle McCarthy) Domanski; and her in-laws, Bill and Diane Free. She will also be deeply missed by her extended family, countless friends, and all those whose lives she touched. Visitation will take place on Friday, January 31, from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and again on Saturday, February 1, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. All services will be held at Vermeulen-Sajewski Funeral Home, located at 46401 Ann Arbor Road West (between Beck Rd. and Sheldon), in Plymouth, Michigan.
