Reuschle, Katherine “Kathy” – November 13, 2025 age 84 of Plymouth. Beloved wife of Dean. Loving mother of Beth (Ken) Weeks and David (Rebecca) Reuschle. Proud grandmother of Andrew Weeks, Alyssa (Aaron) Mitchell, Jordan (Becca) Weeks, Sarah Reuschle, Abigail Reuschle, Anna Reuschle, and Joshua Reuschle. Dear sister of Jacqualine (Ron) Speier and sister-in-law of Philip (the late Donna) Reuschle. Caring aunt of Dawn (Mark) Shuey, John (Jill) Speier, James (Beth) Speier, Stephen (Amanda) Reuschle. Kathy grew up in a loving home with her parents, John and Betty Keefer and her younger sister Jackie in Detroit Michigan. As a young woman she worked for an optometrist, and downtown Detroit as a secretary for J. Walter Thompson. Kathy met the love of her life, Dean Reuschle, on a blind date when she was twenty. They were married on May 16, 1964. While dating Dean, they attended Redford Lutheran Church where she gained her assurance of salvation by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. They moved to Plymouth in 1969 where they started attending Risen Christ Lutheran Church. While attending Risen Christ, they began their lifelong ministry of holding Bible studies, both in-home and elsewhere. Kathy continued her ladies Bible studies up until 2020, with her lifelong passion of bringing people to Jesus. During her years at Risen Christ, she served in many different capacities. She started Operation Christmas Child. She served as office staff, a Sunday School teacher for various ages and she always lent a hand where needed. Along with her Bible studies, she was very proud of her Scottish heritage, which she researched passionately, finding interesting information about her ancestry. She also enjoyed crafting hobbies such as sewing and quilting. Many of her cherished memories included family vacations to Port Austin as a child and then later with her children and grandchildren. There were also many happy family trips to Topsail Island in North Carolina. Kathy was known for her sharp wit, great sense of humor and kindness toward all. Most of all Kathy was a loving mother, and especially enjoyed being a grandmother to her seven grandchildren. Visitation Friday, November 21st from 4 PM until 8 PM at Vermeulen-Sajewski Funeral Home, 46401 Ann Arbor Road West (between Sheldon and Beck) Plymouth. In state Saturday, November 22nd from 9 AM until the 10 AM Funeral Service at Risen Christ Lutheran Church, 46250 Ann Arbor Road West, Plymouth. Interment Glen Eden Memorial Park.
