Pamela Haggerty

It is with deep sadness that we remember the remarkable life of Pamela “Pam” Haggerty, a devoted wife, loving sister, cherished aunt and beloved friend. Born on November 14, 1950 in Washington, D.C., Pam grew up in Redford Township, Michigan, graduating from Redford Union High School in 1968. Pam graduated from Providence Hospital School of Nursing in 1971 as a Registered Nurse. She worked there until 1973 when she became an Occupational Health Nurse with Ford Motor Company. Pam worked at Ford for 31 years at the Rouge Plant, the Electronic Tech Center, and at the Arizona Proving Grounds. She went back to school at the University of Detroit Mercy and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration in 1993. After her nursing career retirement in 2004, Pam spent 16 years as an intuitive psychic reader, encouraging and uplifting her clients through her gift. Pam lived a life of curiosity and compassion. Over the years, she married Tom Grish, Peter Zoroya, and John Riling. She finally found her soulmate, Larry Good, and they married in 2022. Pam had an incredibly happy final chapter with Larry, who she’d known in high school and then not seen for 50 years before they connected. Pam and Larry loved going to Tiger games and Detroit Symphony Orchestra concerts. Pam is survived by her beloved husband, Larry Good, and her much loved sisters, Suzi Flynn, Maureen (Dave) Smith, Jane (John) O’Brien, and Cyndi (Kenny) Scott. Pam is also survived by half-siblings Charles Haggerty, Brian (Judith) Haggerty, Nancy (Andre) Leveille, Linda (Ed) Bazinet, Paul Haggerty, Jon (Pam) Haggerty, and Tom Powers. Pam was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2008 and with treatment survived. Her second cancer diagnosis was colon cancer in 2019, and once again with treatment survived. When she learned in April that her colon cancer had returned and metastasized, after careful thought and prayer she decided on hospice care. Pam and her family received wonderful home care from Angela Hospice in Livonia, and ask that memorial contributions in Pam’s honor be made to Angela Hospice, 14100 Newburgh Road, Livonia MI 48154. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 15th from 1 PM until 6 PM at Vermeulen-Sajewski Funeral Home, 46401 Ann Arbor Road West, (Between Sheldon and Beck) Plymouth.
