Terry Lee Kozlowski

Terry Lee Kozlowski – July 8, 2024 age 77 of Plymouth. Terry, like other farm family children, started working quite young, driving tractors when he was 12 and working on garden crops including soybeans. Sharecropping soybeans helped pay his way through college. He participated in sports in high school, football, basketball and track, and went on to Central Michigan University where he ran cross country and indoor/outdoor track. Terry earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Education. Marrying Marsha before graduation, he went on to serve four years in the U.S. Army, primarily as a Medivac helicopter pilot. After service, he and Marsha moved back to Michigan to raise their daughters. He worked in the tool & die field and finished his career at Chrysler in 2012. Retirement did not slow him down. He and Marsha enjoyed travelling with family, friends or just themselves. He loved being a grandfather and teaching his grandchildren how to do things. Family gatherings were important to him. Always busy, Terry had many interests and several hobbies and always enjoyed learning something new. He learned to play his first instrument at the age of 60. Feeling there was always room for improvement, he liked nothing better than to re-engineer or “tweak” things to improve their function. His varied interests included aviation, archery, hunting, dancing and music. He enjoyed being part of “community;” namely the Newburg United Methodist Church, Western Silver Star Steppers Dance Club, and Silver Strings Dulcimer Society. He was always a participating member, stepping up to help out wherever he could. Terry is survived by wife Marsha, daughters Tara (Mitch) Tokarski, Ann (Roy) Birchmeier, grandchildren, Cassidy, A.J. and Griffen Tokarski, Emma and Audrey Birchmeier. He is also survived by sister Joan (Dan) Fedak, sister Brenda Kozlowski and numerous nieces and nephews. Private cremation services were arranged by Vermeulen-Sajewski Funeral Home, 46401 Ann Arbor Road West, Plymouth. Memorial Visitation on Saturday, August 10th 10 AM until the 11 AM Celebration of Life Service at Newburg United Methodist Church, 36500 Ann Arbor Trail, Livonia MI 48150.
