Diane Marie Reffner of Westland died December 5, 2020 at the age of 68. Diane went to her eternal home surrounded by her sisters. Oldest daughter of Dean and Mary (Lepine) Reffner. Survived by her beloved rescue dog JoJo and sisters Debbie (Rich) Priebe, Cindy Reffner and Mary (Bob) Kopczynski. Diane will be greatly missed by her nieces and nephews; Christy (Kevin) Seale, Shelly (Chris) Bray, Jessica (Justin) Goodwin. Jason (Leonora) Priebe, Molly (Jason) Bennett, Rachel Kopczynski and several grand nieces and nephews. Diane retired after a long career at Michigan Bell. Diane graduated from Benedictine High School and continued her education at Community College and Community Education. Diane was passionate about life, friends, fun, fashion, interior design, gathering, hosting and organizing activities and events. Diane loved impromptu gatherings on her patio, playing cards and hosting MSU versus UofM parties. Diane was a longtime resident of Holiday Park and had many friends and was involved in many committees and activities at her complex including the Holiday Park Garage Sale and the activity committee. All summer long she spent most days at the pool sunning, swimming and being with her friends. She was such a fan of going to dances Hines Drive and Woodward Dream Cruise events. Diane was loyal to Benedictine High School in Detroit where she graduated and was in charge of organizing many class reunions and was the go to person for any news regarding any of her classmates. Diane loved her family and friends, shopping, jewelry, clothes, dancing and just being with people. She had the gift of gab. Family teased her because she never bought one thing; it was always “a couple of things”. Diane will be missed everywhere she went because of her love and concern, her quick wit, her energy and enthusiasm she had for family and friends. Diane loved new adventures, traveling and loved being on a beach. Her nieces and nephews were always ready to receive any of Aunt Di’s hand me downs such as camping equipment and patio sets. The visitation will be held Friday, December 11th beginning at 10:00 AM until the the 11:00 AM Funeral Mass at Resurrection Parish, 48755 Warren Road, Canton, MI 48187. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the church will strictly enforce a 70 person limit allowed in church. Others may join the family for the Committal Prayer and interment, which will be at Riverside Cemetery in Plymouth after the Funeral Mass. Arrangements by Vermeulen-Sajewski Funeral Home, Plymouth.
