James "Jimmy" Vincent Burns

James “Jimmy” Vincent Burns, September 20, 2020 age 77 of Dearborn Heights and Westland. Beloved son of the late John and the late Bernice. Loving brother of Francis (Bernadine), Bernice (David), Robert (Cathy), Kathleen (Fred), Maureen (Bernard), Elizabeth (David) and deceased siblings Jane (John) Biegas, John, Paul and Mark Burns. Adored uncle of many nieces and nephews; dear brother -in- law of Helene and Jacquelyn Burns. Jimmy was a wonderful and generous brother, uncle and friend who will be greatly missed by all those who knew him. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a dedicated supporter of the Michigan Humane Society for over 30 years and recognized as Volunteer of the Year. He was a long-standing member of St. Mary, Cause of Our Joy Catholic Church. Jimmy loved fishing on Houghton Lake, shopping for the latest fashions, taking his nieces and nephews on grand trips to the candy store and enjoyed a good meal at a restaurant. In State Thursday, September 24th from 9:30 AM until the 10 AM Funeral Mass at St. Mary Cause of Our Joy Catholic Church, 8200 N. Wayne Road, Westland. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery at 3 PM. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we understand if you choose to pay your respects from afar. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Westland Humane Society, 900 N.
