Nelida A. de la Paz, age 85, of Dearborn Heights; passed away peacefully with family by her side on October 1, 2020. Nelida loved visiting with her kids, grandchildren, reading, and crocheting. She was faithful to her religion and prayed her Rosary. Nelida will be missed but always in our hearts. Beloved wife of almost 65 years to Cosme. Dear mother of Cosme (Patricia) Delapaz, Liliana (Gregory) Rebain, Leisy (John) Young. Proud grandma of Michael (Kayla) Delapaz, Lauren (Mychael) Evans, Garrett (Caitlin) Rebain, Veronica Culp, Kevin (Ebony) Delapaz, Melissa Culp, Karen (Kevin) Webb, Kayla Rebain. Proud great grandma of Gabriel Delapaz. Caring sister, of Juan (Marta) Riol and her precious fur baby, Lola. Nelida was preceded in death by her brother, Inerio Riol, sister, Zoraida Riol, and her parents, Juan Riol Reina, Sara Lilia Figueroa, as well as Olga Contreras. The visitation and the funeral service will be held privately at the funeral home with interment at St. Hedwig Cemetery, Dearborn Heights, MI.
