Gerald A. Brown - February 19, 2026 age 86 of Plymouth. Beloved husband of the late Shirley. Loving father of DeeAnn Brown, Collette (Peter) Dale, Cheryl (Frank) Deeter, Alan Brown, and Jeff Brown. Proud grandfather of Brett (fiancé Taylor Wildman) Deeter, Jaclyn (Nickolas) Burr, Lauren Dale, Emily Deeter, Jacob Brown, Joseph Deeter, Isabelle Dale, Hannah Brown, Samuel Brown, and Joshua Dale. Loving great-grandfather of Violet Burr and Henry Deeter. Dear brother of the late Marcella (the late Melvin) Fuelling, the late Mildred (the late Donald) Zimmer, the late Robert (the late Inez) Brown, and the late Jimmy (the late Sue) Brown. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Jerry graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 1966. Shortly after graduating, he accepted a job as an Apprentice Draftsman at Gar-Wood in Ypsilanti, MI. This led him to an over 20 year career at Rockwell International in Troy, MI as an Account Manager heading up the Wheels Division. From Rockwell, he decided to join a startup sunroof company based in St. Louis named Sky-Top as Director of Sales. Shortly thereafter, he joined Magna International, a Tier One Automotive supplier based out of Toronto, Canada. Jerry eventually became Director of Sales on the General Motors account, landing multi-million dollar contracts with them. Upon his retirement, he was honored with being named in the Magna Hall of Fame. He retired in 2003. In his early family life, he was an active member of Plymouth Elks Lodge 1780 where he enjoyed bowling in their league with his sister and brother-in-law. A favorite destination early on was family trips to Higgins Lake. His children became active in the Plymouth Fife and Drum Corps which lead him to the role of President of the Corps, in large part due to his continued active involvement with the Elks Club. Later on vacations took him south to Myrtle Beach where he enjoyed great food, great weather and great golf. Golf trips throughout the United States were also a highlight traveling with his wife, Shirley of 64 years and any of his kids that were able to tag along. But, some of his favorite times were spent around the pool and golf course at Orange Lake Country Club in Orlando, FL with his children and grandchildren. Jerry enjoyed playing golf at Western Golf and Country Club with his sons and daughters, as well as traveling with friends to New York, Rome, Italy and Paris and a cruise to Alaska. Visitation Thursday, February 26th 2 PM - 7 PM at Vermeulen-Sajewski Funeral Home, 46401 Ann Arbor Road West (between Sheldon and Beck) Plymouth. Rosary service at 6 PM. In state Friday, February 27th 11:30 AM until the 12 PM Funeral Mass at St. Kenneth Catholic Church, 14951 North Haggerty Road, Plymouth. Memorial contributions may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice Foundation, 7240 Chase Oaks Blvd, Plano, TX 75025 or to The ARC of Western Wayne County, 2257 South Wayne Road, Westland, MI, 48186 Interment Michigan Memorial Park.
