It is with deep gratitude for a life well lived that we announce that Ron Bailey, age 82, of Northville, Michigan, passed away on June 22, 2026. Above all else, Ron was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother, whose greatest joy in life was his family. He measured success not by accomplishments or possessions, but by the love he shared. Born on January 10, 1944 in Peoria, Illinois, Ron was the beloved child of Clifford and Margery (Sharp). Ron is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jeanne (Klipp); his children Andy (Kim) Bailey, Tony (Trica) Bailey, and Kathy (Jason) Rothwell. He was the proud Poppa of eight grandchildren: Kayli, Ashley, Sarah, Emily, Shannon, Zoe, Nate, and Alli. He is also survived by his sister Marilyn Meiner, and her husband George. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Judi Burkardt, and her husband Ed. Ron enjoyed a distinguished 38-year career as a mechanical engineer with Bendix. His commitment and expertise earned him opportunities across the country and abroad, with positions in Indiana, New York, Ohio, and South Korea. Through each move, his career provided a foundation for his family’s life and formed lasting friendships. Those who knew Ron will remember him for his quick wit, inquisitive nature, can-do attitude, and unwavering devotion to his family. He was a talented craftsman who could fix nearly anything and a creative problem-solver who always seemed to have an opinion—and was usually convinced it was the right one. Ron loved teasing those closest to him, sharing a sarcastic remark, and bringing laughter to every gathering. Beneath his playful exterior was a deeply caring man whose love and pride for his family knew no bounds. Those who knew him best will fondly remember the unmistakable giggle that emerged whenever he was emotionally touched. Ron had a passion for music, played the guitar in a band, and sang his entire life. He found great joy in woodworking, creating beautiful handcrafted pieces with personalized carvings made especially for all members of his family. He was an avid car enthusiast who especially loved his Corvette, enjoyed golfing, riding his motorcycle, reading, playing games, traveling, and spending winters in Arizona. Whatever the activity, Ron's favorite moments were those spent making memories with the people he loved most. While his absence leaves an immeasurable void, his legacy remains in the family he cherished and the countless memories he created. The lessons he taught, the traditions he passed down, and the love he gave so freely will continue to live on with those who knew him.
