Sally Lou Harvey

Harvey, Sally L (August 13, 1942-May 15, 2026) We are saddened to announce the passing of our mother Sally at the age of 83. Sally was a devoted and loving mother to her son, Rich (Lauren), and daughter, Dawn, who meant the world to her. The bond she shared with her children was at the center of her life and her love and pride for them was endless. She and Dawn were true partners in crime, enjoying shopping trips and daily outings all over town together, creating countless cherished memories. Sally had a lifelong passion for sports. As a teenager, she was an outstanding guard on the high school basketball team and she proudly carried that shared love of sports throughout her life with her son, Rich. Whether cheering from the sidelines or talking sports together, it was a connection they both treasured. Sally also had an incredible memory and loved sharing stories of days gone by, keeping family memories and traditions alive through the stories she told. She was also an absolute champion at Jeopardy, amazing her family with her quick wit and endless knowledge. She was also a proud “Gramma” and “Gigi,” titles she cherished deeply. She will forever be remembered and lovingly missed by Jake, Collin, Trevor (Akaya), Tom, Chloe (Nate), Mikey (Natalie), John and Jayce. She is also survived by her sister Debbie Neal of New York. Her family was Sally’s greatest pride and joy. She treasured every moment spent together, whether at home, out to eat (Culver’s, Red Robin, and Firehouse) 😊, celebrating birthdays, proms, graduations, or cheering on her family at sporting events. No matter the occasion, she was always present with love and support. Sally will also be remembered for her kindness and generosity. She had a warm heart and a way of making everyone feel welcome and cared for. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the countless memories Sally gave us. Her love, laughter, stories, and unwavering devotion to her family will never be forgotten. She will be deeply missed every day and forever carried in the hearts of those who loved her.
