Stephen Nowicki III

Stephen "Steve" Nowicki III, age 64, of Canton, Michigan, passed away suddenly on November 19, 2024. Born on September 19, 1960, Steve was the cherished husband of Darleen for 38 years. He was a devoted father to Lisa Walker and Jennifer Monsur (Joey), and a proud grandfather of Mason and Paxton Walker, and Oliver Monsur. He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his brother, Robert Nowicki, along with many cousins and extended family members. Steve also held a special place in his heart for his "fur grandchildren," Bear and Winston, who brought him endless joy and comfort. Steve was a man of many passions. He loved spending time with his family, especially enjoying the company of his grandchildren and attending their sporting events. His love for adventure was evident in his fondness for boating and driving to explore new places. He had a deep appreciation for history and treasured his visits to Greenfield Village. An avid car enthusiast, Steve rebuilt his prized 1928 Model A and loved working on cars, which was also his lifelong career as an auto body technician. Steve was known for his sense of humor, warmth, and loyalty to his friends and family. He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, like going to the movies, enjoying a good pizza, and spending time with loved ones. His love for animals and his kind-hearted nature touched everyone who knew him. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 10th, with visitation from 10:30 AM until the 11:00 AM Mass at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, located at 44800 Warren Road, Canton, MI 48187. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Neumann Catholic Church. The burial will take place at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, located at 2201 S. Old U.S. 23 Highway, Brighton, MI 48114, at 3:00 PM, where we will lay Steve to rest. Steve's family is deeply grateful for the love and support they have received during this difficult time.
